This text, published in Boston in 1829, describes and ilustrates the progression of smallpox across over a dozen printed color plates taken of a young, unvaccinated french woman, alongside many pages of information and illustrations of other forms of pox on multiple cases.
The copy held in the Merrick Archives has suffered minor damage to page ends, and measures 13.5 in by 11 in by 1.25 inches in dimensions.
