This book, published in the Netherlands in 1717, is the first western book to systematically analayze, explain and illustrate islamic religious practice for western audiences. 

The copy held in the Merrick Archives features several popouts, fold-out panels and expanded images, one of the Kabba shown here. The book has suffered very little wear save discoloration and paper edges, and measures 6.25 in by 4 in by 1.5 inches.
