German 1649 Biblia

Biblia, Das Ist Dieganze Schrifft Altes und Ruenes Testaments

This 1649 Protestant bible, published as an edition of the Luther bible in Nuremburg, is illustrated in great many colors and includes many depictions of german princes within their principalities, alongside maps of Jerusalem.  Containing the old and new testaments as well, the work is contained within a red leather exterior with metal clasps and gilding.

Worldcat shows 9 copies of this edition. The version held by the Merrick Archives suffers from the front cover being shorn from the spine-it is held on by the clasp.
